چکیده
Offloading plantar pressure in a diabetic foot with neuropathy is challenging conventional clinical practice. Custom-made insole (CMI) materials play an important role reduction, but the assessment costly and time-consuming. Finite element analysis (FEA) can provide efficient evaluation of different insoles on distribution. This study investigated effect CMI their combinations reduction for using FEA. The was conducted by constructing three-dimensional model along to peak contact between CMI. softer material (E = 5 MPa) resulted better compared stiffer 11 MPa). well redistributed its combination. In addition, single reduced frictional stress under first metatarsal head combination materials. have beneficial redistribution neuropathy. provided effective approach selection

Pressure relief and load redistribution by custom-made insoles in diabetic patients with neuropathy and foot deformity.
OBJECTIVE To study the effects of custom-made insoles on plantar pressures and load redistribution in neuropathic diabetic patients with foot deformity. DESIGN Cross-sectional. BACKGROUND Although custom-made insoles are commonly prescribed to diabetic patients, little quantitative data on their mechanical action exists. METHODS Regional in-shoe peak pressures and force-time integrals wer...

the object of this work is to present a study of the thermomechanical behavior of the automobile disc brake for the prediction of their resistance to fatigue. then, a study of purely mechanical dry contact between the disc and pads is developed with a good prediction becomes a major stake for the industrialists while modeling the loading and the boundary conditions around the disc.we used the s...
متن کاملmulti layered finite element analysis of graded coatings in frictional rolling contact
a plain strain analysis of frictional rolling contact on an elastic graded coating is presented in this paper. finite element method is applied to gain an understanding of the stresses and contact zone properties caused during rolling contact. the effects of friction, material stiffness ratio and coating thickness on stresses in contact zone and coating/substrate interface are studied. shear mo...
متن کاملThree-Dimensional Finite Element Analysis of Stress Intensity Factors in a Spherical Pressure Vessel with Functionally Graded Coating
This research pertains to the three-dimensional (3D) finite element analysis (FEA) of the stress intensity factors (SIFs) along the crack front in a spherical pressure vessel coated with functionally graded material (FGM). The vessel is subjected to internal pressure and thermal gradient. The exponential function is adopted for property of FGMs. SIFs are obtained for a wide variety of crack sha...
متن کاملOn Finite Element Uniqueness Studies for Coulomb’s Frictional Contact Model
We are interested in the finite element approximation of Coulomb’s frictional unilateral contact problem in linear elasticity. Using a mixed finite element method and an appropriate regularization, it becomes possible to prove existence and uniqueness when the friction coefficient is less than Cε| log(h)|−1, where h and ε denote the discretization and regularization parameters, respectively. Th...
